Just added to the website - new earrings at Little Wing. We've gone a bit Native American for these, the arrow heads are our favourite so far! Soon to be added to the feather chain extensions as well, keep an eye out!
Watched Inglorious Basterds with the boyfriend today for the hundredth time. Such a brilliant film, but every time I watch it I also swoon over the costumes. The army boots and trousers in particular, but mainly over Mélanie Laurent. Even in her worker dungarees and hat she looks ridiculously chic. One of my favourite of her costumes is the all black outfit she wears when she is showing the Germans around the cinema, with the nipped in shirt and cropped flare trousers. Could only find a blurry screencap of it, third down.
Oh, and her character rocks. Her 'film' at the end always makes me want to cackle, mwahahahaa.
I found the elusive black lace H&M bell bottoms when I was in Brighton. Such an exciting find, can't wait to wear them out (with tights underneath me thinks, don't fancy showing my pants to one and all..). I also found this fabulous bottle green velvet blazer in To Be Worn Again. Found chewy Runts in Cyber Candy as well (which to me is like finding gold, sad as that is). Very chuffed with my finds.
What a crazy weekend, I haven't stopped yet! Went to visit my friend's gorgeous new house after work on Friday, on to a lovely day in sunny Brighton on Saturday then straight out to a gathering at my friend's house, back to the boyfs and straight out to see family today! Crikey.
I really love a good shirt. Last night I had a date night with the boyfriend and it turned into an i-feel-shit-in-everything day, I wanted to snuggle down in my huge fisherman jumper but it was too hot. So in the end as I was already running so late I reached for the shirt, plain cotton with shitty old jeans and a pair of heels (my feet are missing heels :( ), pretty boring and nothing exciting at all but immediately it just works for me and solved the dilemma. Long live the shirt!
We went to see The Inbetweeners movie, we're fans of the series (isn't everyone?) and it lived up to expectations. Very funny and I think I'll go and see it again with mother! Also saw the poster for Conan the Barbarian... think that one is definitly a must-see ;-) x
I saw this in a little home shop yesterday and I had to have it. Aside from clothing rations (haha) it sums up the way I've been trying to think about things for the last few months so I've stuck in on my wall to remind me every day. We have what we have so make the most of it and make something of it! <3
They also had Keep Calm and Drink Wine, I think I'll have to get that one next!
I'm loving this jersey top at the moment, it's been hanging in my wardrobe for a while and I wore it for the first time today. The leather collar is such a cute touch!
I'm also in love with the tailoring at Zara at the moment. The jackets and blazers are amazing and really nicely cut. I have my eye on this mustard one, the fabric is so thick and rigid, which is exactly what I love in a blazer. As if I need any more tailored jackets, they're probably my favourite item of clothing and I have too many already but I don't have a mustard one...
I've been working hard this weekend - but it's so enjoyable. Lots of newness on the Little Wing website which I'll post later. Also had a bit of a play around with my layout, I love how many times I end up going to back to the Marianne image I started out with ages ago - can't beat it obviously!
I never usually post about make up but I'm championing a particular product at the moment - so much that I think everyone should buy a pot! It's Posietint from Benefit. I used to use Benetint, which was lovely but I much prefer the consistency and shade of Posietint. It works as a lovely stain for your cheeks and lips and it really perks up your complexion even with minimal make up.
Love love love (but I don't know how well it shows in this pic. PS. I'm wearing a new Little Wing earring too).
I have been dying to blog about this and now and the time is here!
Up and coming R&B babe Cleo Sol has just released the video to her debut single “High”! The song is SO feelgood and catchy, a perfect summer anthem. You will be singing this all day! This particular mix of the song features Gappy Ranksand will be released on September 18th.
Look closely and you will also notice that Cleo is totally rocking Little Wing in the video! Cleo is wearing a bespoke black and grizzly chain feather earring and a variety of neon and 'Twisted Sister' earrings and hair extensions (shop HERE)! I will be working with Cleo on an exciting project very soon so watch this space!
Sunday - another shoot with the lovely Amy Brandon and Emma Fletcher at the BEAUTIFUL Hitchen Lavender fields. Aside from being a very fun shoot it was also a lovely escape - standing in the middle of a huge, quiet, open field, looking up at the sky and breathing in the fresh air was amazing - just what I needed.
