Boots made for strappin'

Ohh man I want these. Getting my boots together for Sonisphere at the weekend and my old faithful biker boots, that have seen me through a good few years of festivals, feel like they need a bit of decorating. And then I found these skull boot straps - lustt. Don't think they'll arrive in time if I ordered them. I think tomorrow I might actually take my hour lunch break for the odd time in a year and go to Camden market and hunt some down!

Instant Karma

Don't you just love it when you rediscover a song that you haven't heard for ages? I rediscovered Instant Karma the other day when I found some old CDs, forgot how bloody awesome that song is so I thought I would share (I love how Yoko is blindfolded and knitting the background)

Hello, hello, I'm back again

Note to self: must.not.neglect.blog.

Going up the country

Looking forward to settling down with Taking Woodstock tonight (if it ever finishes downloading on iTunes). Back to work tomorrow and the dreaded, ridiculously early mornings and late home times, so tonight I plan to escape rather than feel sad.xx

plundered my soul

It makes me really happy that the Rolling Stones are still releasing music. For those who don't know me, I have a great fascination/perhaps obsession with 60s/70s/80s rock n roll and generally dislike the music that's around today - the majority of it seems so contrived, samey and try hard. They don't make 'em like they used to that's for sure. The Stones released a statement earlier in the year to say they were not going to play any gigs this year. Damn. Next year? Please?!

I had a big twang of envy recently when my dad was telling stories from back in the day when we was hanging backstage with Hawkwind and Thin Lizzy. Hawkwind are playing at Guilfest this year though, so will have to go along to that and I also have Download and Sonisphere lined up for the summer - Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, ACDC, Saxon, Billy Idol - oh God I just can't wait. I'm going with my good friend Lucy, we always have the best fun at festivals, I reckon this year will be the best yet.
