Going up the country
Looking forward to settling down with Taking Woodstock tonight (if it ever finishes downloading on iTunes). Back to work tomorrow and the dreaded, ridiculously early mornings and late home times, so tonight I plan to escape rather than feel sad.xx

plundered my soul
It makes me really happy that the Rolling Stones are still releasing music. For those who don't know me, I have a great fascination/perhaps obsession with 60s/70s/80s rock n roll and generally dislike the music that's around today - the majority of it seems so contrived, samey and try hard. They don't make 'em like they used to that's for sure. The Stones released a statement earlier in the year to say they were not going to play any gigs this year. Damn. Next year? Please?!
I had a big twang of envy recently when my dad was telling stories from back in the day when we was hanging backstage with Hawkwind and Thin Lizzy. Hawkwind are playing at Guilfest this year though, so will have to go along to that and I also have Download and Sonisphere lined up for the summer - Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, ACDC, Saxon, Billy Idol - oh God I just can't wait. I'm going with my good friend Lucy, we always have the best fun at festivals, I reckon this year will be the best yet.

hello sunshine
The sun always brings out the positive side of me. As someone who has a tendency to go through periods of absolute misery the start of summer makes me so happy - positive thinking!

Outnet flash sale
So I have been reading everywhere about people's anger over the Outnet's birthday sale this morning. I agree that the sale should probably have been managed better, or the number of rsvp's restricted. But I was lucky and managed to score something, a couple of hours after the sale started. Not one of the nicest pieces (all the Miu Miu and Chloe I would have wanted had been snapped up) but I really like it, so it's a good thing it wasn't one that everyone else liked!
I got a Jovovich and Hawk nude silk dress, I'm already dreaming up ways to wear it this summer. It may have been £725 pounds or something ridiculous like that originally but at £1 I'm not going to keep it stuck in my wardrobe for an 'occasion', I'm going to wear it a lot this summer, stick it with some leather - yep yep :D.
Can't find a screen shot but I'd snapped it on my phone to show my boyfriend who was snuggled in bed and wouldn't move while I was hunched over my computer, you get the idea...
